I met up with Sister K at the Big Texas Saloon again for an Aaron Watson show. We'd received free tickets and took total advantage of the situation. He put on a good show and it was so nice to see a band again with a steel guitar,a fiddle AND a stand-up bass player. Not too many bands around these days have steel guitar players or fiddlers anymore (that goes for stand-up bass players) or have a musician that is capable of playing many different instruments. I also love to hear the sound of a mandolin. We briefly talked to Aaron after the show and he told me that he was a big fan of the guys on my t-shirt...Cooder Graw. Could it be because they're all from the Panhandle area of Texas (an area that I deeply miss visiting)?
