Again...lots of music, lots I missed...
I started looking at last months calendar and I honestly can't remember who I went to see and who I didn't...I can remember going to Austin, though.
Did I go and see JB Beverely and the Wayward Drifters www.waywarddrifters.com with the U-Joints on the 6th of May? No, I didn't. Now this I remember missing because I've only met JB once in Austin and they're from the Washington DC area.
Did I go and see Jarrod Birmingham www.jarrodbirmingham.com on the 7th of May? Nope...I sat at home again.
May 13th...Sister K and I went to the Armadillo Palace to see the Mike Mancy Band. www.mikemancy.com Now this, I have a vague recollection of...I had been power drinking all day long at the Art Car Parade and then we decided that we were going out. My dress attire was a total fiasco...this I remember.
May 20th...I went to Austin to see Dale Watson!!! www.dalewatson.com I had such a great time meeting new people and dancing my ass off. The place was packed and I got in free since I knew the girl working the door, Headcase Heidi. I also knew a bartender and waitress there...Redneck Girl and Becky. The beer was flowing and the entire place was hopping that night. I don't know how many times I danced but by the end of the night, I was most definitely ready to go home and sleep for a few hours.
May 24th...Sister K and I went out to see Davin James www.davinjames.com and Matt Hillyer of Eleven Hundred Springs www.elevenhundredsprings.com at Puffabelly's and drank way too much beer and had more fun than the law allows.
That is all (I think) for the month of May. Remember, don't drink and drive but most importantly:
