Dale Watson 11-25-05 @ Blanco's
I can't seem to pass up on any Dale Watson shows. It could be because of the fact that he is moving to MD after the 1st of the year and possibly retiring. It's a sad day in TX...Dale Watson is leaving us. The show at Blanco's was attended by myself & Sister K...along with the "wrecking crew" (which we're members of) and totaled about 10 that night. History repeating itself (as it often does for me), I had to jump on the stage and dance around like an idiot during "that song"...the same song that always makes me jump onto the stage when I've had toooo many beers. Come to think of it, I think I had encouragement from others there along with Dale which led me to make an ass out of myself (again). Oh, well. I think I entertained my friends and Gene forgot the words to "that song" during my antics...a song he's been singing for many, many years. You've only got a few more chances left this year to see Dale Watson. If you've never seen him before, check him out. He's the real deal...real country music. The way is used to be...not the "nashvegas" crap that is called country music these days...like Big and Rich or Kenny Chesney. Ask Dale. He'll tell you all about it!!! SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC, DAMMIT!!!

Well I am going to go to San Antonio on the 17th to see Korn and Mudvayne and Drowning Pool..
Does that count as supporting live music?
I like the "loud country" stuff like Cooder and Jack Ingram and Hank III but I don't know about "real country" that makes me think of like um Conway Twitty....
Conway's dead but you've got the general idea...
