Rodney Crowell & Sean Reefer & the Resin Valley Boys

I got a chance to see Rodney Crowell last nite at the Continental Club. We had originally started out going to Cactus Records because he was going to be there for a free acoustic show/new CD release party with free beer. I stopped by mom's on the way there and she gave me $20 and told me to buy the new CD for her and have it autographed for her which I did. When I bought it, the girl behind the counter asked if I was going to the show tonight to see him and I said no. I didn't get paid today as expected so I'll be missing it. Then she told me since I had purchased the new CD, I could get my name on the guest list...woohoo!!! When I got the CD autographed, he asked if I had purchased the CD at Cactus and that I could get in free tonight if I did. He was such a nice guy...not like some of the backstabbers I'm used to being around!!! After the show, we stopped by the Big Top and caught a couple songs from Sean Reefer and the Resin Valley Boys...he covered a Hank III song especially for us...and Otto was selling merch for Rodney. It was good to see him again...
